The Echo of a Legend
When pianist and composer Okiem performs by candlelight, the room changes. Sound sharpens. Stillness expands. On Sunday 30 November 2025, he will bring this atmosphere to EartH Theatre in Hackney, London for a one-night event that promises to be both powerful and intimate.
Having cut his teeth on the world stage, touring with Leona Lewis, Tinie Tempah, and Duke Dumont, and opening for John Legend and even Prince. Okiem has performed everywhere from candlelit chapels to arenas like The O₂. He plays in some of the most exclusive rooms in the world, from luxury fashion events for Gucci to one of the most talked-about weddings of the year, the one we are not allowed to speak of (let’s just say… what happens in Venice, stays in Venice). With two acclaimed albums already behind him, Xiro (2017) and The Golden Circle (2022), the stage is now set for a performance that promises to be as immersive as it is intimate.

The candlelit setting of EartH Theatre will frame Okiem’s music in a way that draws the audience closer, creating a space where every note resonates with emotion. His performances are never just about sound, but about connection, reflection, and the freedom to feel. As Okiem says, music is “the bridge between what we feel and what we can’t always say.”
The path to this moment has carried its own unscripted stories: a Purdi bracelet of exceptional value and fine craftsmanship went missing before one of his signature concerts, only to be found hours later in the car park by his team, as if returned by fate. Then came a stolen laptop, erasing months of work – an unexpected clearing that, in hindsight, created space for the music he felt most inspired to create and share.
There is a deeper connection behind these choices. Purdip Verma, founder of Purdi Jewellery, and Okiem share a commitment to remain authentic even when outside pressures suggest a safer route. That alignment is visible in every frame. Okiem’s music invites listeners to sit with real emotion. Purdi’s pieces encourage the wearer to inhabit their own centre of gravity. Far Rukh’s direction creates silhouettes that hold both strength and softness. Together they build a world where honesty looks and sounds like elegance.

Our Lazin photoshoot captured Okiem stepping away from his piano, Infinity Orchestra, and the cocoon of the recording studio, exchanging sound for style. Under the direction of Far Rukh, the visionary behind House of Aristocrats, known for blending sustainable glamour with story-rich couture, his presence was framed with calm authority. Purdi Jewellery added sculptural edge—faceted surfaces catching the light like a bright chord, intricate textures echoing the layers in his arrangements. The styling was not decoration; it was a continuation of the performance language, a cue that feeling and craft can live side by side
As the lights dim and the candles glow in Hackney’s EartH Theatre, the hall will transform into a chamber for connection. Notes will gather in the rafters. Shadows will move across polished metal and satin lapels. The audience will lean in. Okiem does more than play; he creates a space where the truth of what we feel is welcome, and where authenticity becomes the most legendary instrument of all.
