Alison Naomi
The Visionary Behind Phantom Wedding
There’s something magnetic about Alison Naomi Porter (A.N. Porter). Her energy draws you in—part storyteller, part connector, part unstoppable force of nature. When Alison’s debut novel Phantom Wedding launched at Bantof, Piccadilly, it wasn’t just a book release—it was an experience. Alison personally produced the event through her newly relaunched production company, Alison Naomi Entertainment, blending her storytelling magic with performance art. From the eerie tableau of actors bringing supernatural scenes to life to her warm interactions with every single fan during the signing, Alison made it clear: she’s not just here to write stories, she’s here to create moments.
But it’s not just her creative spark that stands out – it’s the way she lives by her values. Collaboration? Alison makes you feel like you are part of her world. Networking? She’s a master at it, but not in a transactional way. Alison builds real connections, fuelled by her excitement and curiosity. And self-belief? That’s the core of it all. She knows the inner critic well but refuses to let it dim her light. That’s what makes her work resonate – it’s authentic, just like her.
Before becoming the bold creator of Phantom Wedding, Alison wore many hats – and suits. As an emerging author, writer, singer, actress, and songwriter, she built her creative foundation in the music PR industry, later transitioning to the corporate world in investment banking, oil and gas, human resources recruitment, and cybersecurity. This wide-ranging experience reflects her adaptability and ambition, yet Alison herself admits, “There’s still so much to do.” Her career journey has been as multifaceted as her creative projects, leading to this crowning achievement: the world of Phantom Wedding.
Since Phantom Wedding hit shelves, it’s been a whirlwind. A 4.9-star Amazon rating, glowing reviews, and press coverage in Forbes, Marie Claire, Economic Insider, and now here, in Lazin Magazine for the second time. Fans are even turning her book into real-life adventures, organizing treasure hunts to uncover locations from the story. And let’s not forget the collector’s buzz around those rare first editions with the misprint – proof that even a “flaw” can turn into something extraordinary in Alison’s hands.
Now, here’s my own “Phantom Moment.” On the very day I finished Phantom Wedding, taken aback by its clever and haunting phantom ending, I was playing dolls with my niece. She pretended her doll was coming for coffee, but when I looked, the doll had no head! Naturally, I laughed and joked about its “phantom head,” casually mentioning the book to my sister. Minutes later, Alison herself texted me. The timing was so perfect it felt almost scripted – a little ripple from Alison’s world into mine.
Alison’s vision doesn’t stop at the page. With whispers of a sequel already in the works, she’s also focused on bringing Phantom Wedding to the screen, aiming for platforms like Netflix, Apple TV, or Amazon Prime. Her ability to juggle creative and corporate worlds, coupled with her collaborative spirit and undeniable charisma, makes her a creative force to watch.
At Lazin Magazine, we’re proud to spotlight Alison Naomi Porter – a storyteller, a connector, and a bold visionary who proves that when you chase your spark, you can set the world alight.
